my camera is stupid and hates the color red and i don’t know how to fix it aaaaahhhh
but i painted my synesthetic reactions to 6 of the songs on the dangan ronpa soundtrack as part of a series of artwork for school
i don’t really know whether i like it or not but here you go
i put my url on my artwork for once because this one’s more hipster than usual and as far as i know hipster pictures are more likely to get reposted
(i don’t know how to make that first image not completely gigantic aahh)
but yeah these are some synaesthesia paintings i did in art class! some of them are really messy because they’re songs with a lot going on and the sounds don’t naturally fall into pleasing compositions and i didn’t try to stylize things too much and yeah
what they are in order:
- the smell of this really good shampoo they had at the salon i go to
- the smell of the lotion in my backpack (bath & body works’ “dark kiss” scent; i got excited and bought it because the packaging matched the actual smell)

i think i’m getting the hang of digital art? i really underestimated how different it is from the traditional media i use
we did like 40-minute figure drawings

this picture is being hung in a school hallway for posterity to view and admire because it’s the only one i didn’t want to keep haha
also she’s not that bottom-heavy; i think i took the picture at an angle oops
i’m too lazy to crop the photo and it’d have sketchbook rings in the middle anyway so here look at my house
today i was sad so i drew karkat sad
i am even more sad because my scanner washes everything out and i can’t open photoshop to boost the contrast
but it’s just a sketch so w/e
I was doodling last night and it turned into Porrim
her face is lopsided oops
I drew the hooked horn on the wrong side too omg I suck
in which I pretend to know male anatomy and how to shade
the background turned out pretty cool but seriously I don’t understand digital art at all
maybe I’ll get used to it eventually, maybe not
EDIT: tried to fix the skin tone a little bit but it didn’t actually work oops (I screwed up the layers and made everything difficult so I gave up)

wow White Blank Page is anything but! all those harmonies are super awesome. My drawing didn’t quite capture it though, I think…
After the Storm (I don’t like this one because usually only a few of the patterns show up at once; there’s typically a lot more blank space. But I made the one picture include everything) :
I didn’t do Timshel because I didn’t want to draw all the harmonies because I’m super lazy. They make a thick, browned/grayed-out rainbow, sort of. Emphasis on red-brown and olive green.
(this whole thing probably sounds really weird haha thank you for humoring me)
